If you can't tell from their IDP (Individual Dance Party...don't think you'll get away with avoiding one of these if we shoot your wedding), these two were FUN. We have a good amount of respect for anybody who knows as many hip-hop lyrics is Nhu does, but we have infinite amounts of respect for the bride who deejays a set at her own wedding and forgoes the floral robe for a lounge dress that says "BACK THAT A$$ UP". A traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony in the morning, a Catholic ceremony in the afternoon, and a Marie Gabrielle reception in the evening means we got to spend A LOT of time with these two, and we loved every minute with these kind and quirky lovebirds. Well we were superlatively thrilled when Vic asked us to shoot Turner's and her wedding. At the time, Vic was a coordinator for the incomparable Sweet Pea Events here in Dallas, so even to be on her short list of photographers was an honor! And as we got to know these two a bit more, we basically fell in couple-love with them and want to be their best friends. They are truly wonderful people from their cores - thoughtful and fun, humble and tremendously kind. But I think my favorite thing about them is how much they laugh together, as in open-mouth, squinty-eyes laugh. It's pretty stinkin' adorable.

We had the immense pleasure of shooting this bride's brother's wedding a few years ago. And when you basically fall in love with the whole family and see on social media that another sibling is engaged, you watch that inbox like a HAWK to see if they love you back the same amount. Well we were beyond delighted to see Emma's message a few weeks later, relieved to have been available for her and Jonathan's date, and ecstatic as this drizzly wedding day finally approached. Emma is as kind as they come, admirable strong-willed, and just the right amount of outgoing. Jonathan is her perfect companion - blusteringly intelligent and has strikingly friendly eyes, and he's reserved in such a way that whenever he occasionally does have something to contribute to a conversation, everybody shuts up and listens.
