I was so thrilled when I found out my good friend Amanda said yes when her long time boyfriend, Tyler, asked her to marry him. I was even more thrilled when she asked me to shoot their engagement photos. Amanda is a super talented photographer and stylist and 2nd shoots with me periodically and Tyler is a super talented musician. I think we pretty much had as much fun as humanly possible when shooting their engagements in the home that is about to be theirs and around their hood in Fort Worth. I couldn't be more excited for these two and wish them the best. YOU GUYS ARE SUPER COOL!!!
I can't wait for Lindsey & Andrew's wedding next year. They are getting married in Dallas but currently live in NY and really wanted to capture that part of their lives for their engagement session. So, they were kind enough to bring me up to NY and we had a blast! New York is one of those magical places that just stirs something within me; photographing there ignites the passion inside me. I brought Shannon with me on the trip and the four just walked around Manhattan shooting with the endless gold that is the NY backdrop. We wound up finishing on the Brooklyn Bridge and then walked across to Brooklyn and all got some drink and dinner. We all had an absolute blast and I feel like we've been friends for years! Cannot wait for the wedding in the spring. Something else happened while we were in NY... that post is coming next :)
I'm SO excited to finally blog this wedding. Jason & Jouleen are two of my most favorite people on earth and it was SUCH a huge honor and privilege to photograph their wedding day. They very well might be the most kind and loving people I have ever met in my life. They exude life and joy to everyone they come in contact with, it's undeniable. The weekend started off with with everyone's sides hurting with laughter and faces soaked with tears at a beautiful backyard dinner rehearsal. The following day the ceremony and reception were held at The Filter Building overlooking White Rock Lake in Dallas, TX. Gorgeous. Two things to take note of: 1)Jouleen's bouquet was AMAZING 2)Glow sticks at a reception are bad to the bone! Love love love you, Jason & Jouleen!
